Welcome to the world of Nordic Authors! Project Runeberg maintains this huge index of persons who are potential authors of texts (or creators of artworks) that we might want to publish. Because the copyright protection term of 70 years is important to us, we list the year of birth and death of each person. Some of the names are included just because we thaught they might be interesting.

Also listed for each person is their country and profession. Note that an author's country do not necessarily say anything about their language. The profession is rather arbitrary, and most often defaults to "writer" or "poet", which could mean virtually anything.

We are working on a new implementation of the author index, that will allow us to do searches. The following are some examples:
